The Fang Ngil Ceremonial mask originating from Guinea had the task of punishing those guilty of vices and criminals. The accentuated vertical development of the mask is underlined by the long line of the nose. The high cylindrical forehead is followed by the convex. and heart-shaped form of the eye sockets and the cheeks.
